What if there was a better place to bury a loved one other than a cemetery? What if instead of graves and tombstones, families could have a tree in the wilderness where they can spread the ashes of multiple generations?

Better Place Forests came to us with this beautiful concept, and a challenge to differentiate themselves from the industry. After working collaboratively with the client, and taking a deep dive into the funeral industry, the simple idea that this was about celebrating life and not death emerged. Images, tone of voice and messaging all centred about preserving forest, and simply being in nature while remembering your loved one. The identity concept distills the idea of a tree & ashes and the specificity of place into the most simple visual possible. It was a bold departure from the industry and a system with great flexibility across all communication vehicles.
